A seasonality market

Periods like Christmas, or Easter are very important in terms of visibility and turnover  for the companies. Around 40 % of the turnover of the market is made in the end of the year with Christmas .The main reason is tradition. Indeed the traditions are to offer chocolate in Christmas but also for other occasions as st Nicholas, Easter,etc.
Of course the companies use a lot these occasions to launch new promotions or new products.
In Easter, it can be a little tricky for the companies regarding few details. One of the most important is the Easter date. If Easter is too late in April, the temperature tends to get higher and if the date of Easter is at the same time that holidays, companies can miss a lot of opportunities of purchase.
